Infant physiotherapy – FizjoStyl Krakow
0–1 year

When to have your child's development checked

The first year of life is a time of very rapid motor development. A visit to a paediatric physiotherapist helps assess whether your child is developing harmoniously and, if necessary, start therapy early.

What parents most often come to us with

  • the baby constantly turns their head or body to one side (asymmetry),
  • increased or reduced muscle tone,
  • concern about how quickly the baby is reaching developmental milestones (lifting the head, rolling over, sitting up, crawling),
  • a recommendation for a consultation from a paediatrician or neurologist.

During the visit, the physiotherapist assesses the baby's motor development, provides therapy and shows parents how to carry, change and play with their baby to support their development.

Older children are welcome at our paediatric physiotherapy service.

This service is available at the FizjoStyl Kliny clinic, ul. Wicherkiewicza 23/K (patient parking). For appointments at the ul. Wolska 2a clinic, please call: 881 505 588. You can also book via Booksy.

I am very pleased with our appointment with Ms Marta. From the very beginning her tremendous commitment and professionalism were evident. Ms Marta took a very thorough history, asked about the details and calmly explained everything. I felt that she genuinely wanted to understand the whole situation, rather than just quickly assess my child.

The appointment lasted a full hour and forty minutes – nobody rushed us, and all the attention was focused on my daughter. I really appreciate that Ms Marta had her own opinion and didn't just say what a parent would like to hear. She was able to present her observations calmly and objectively, even when they differed from my assumptions.

She has a wonderful way with such young children. You could see a great deal of patience and experience. Even when my daughter didn't always want to cooperate, Ms Marta was able to adapt the assessment to what she could manage. I left with a wealth of knowledge and the feeling that my child had been in good hands. I definitely recommend Ms Marta.

I warmly recommend Ms Weronika! I came to her at 30 weeks pregnant with terrible back pain radiating to my breastbone, which meant I could only sit and had trouble breathing. Ms Weronika showed tremendous knowledge, complete professionalism, commitment and empathy. She used gentle, safe techniques as well as taping. The relief was immediate – I left the practice pain-free, could finally breathe freely and lie down without pain. A wonderful specialist!

You feel looked after from your very first contact with the practice! The receptionist is absolutely lovely. The appointment itself with Weronika Kukuś, MSc – worth every złoty. A fantastic approach to the patient; every part of the appointment was discussed so that nothing would take me by surprise or feel uncomfortable. The factors the doctor focused on were analysed in detail according to their importance, followed by a summary of which muscle work I should concentrate on after the appointment. During the appointment the doctor checked several times that everything was clear to me, worked with me at the pace I needed and, as I say, from the very first moments at FizjoStyl I felt that as a patient I had come to a place where I matter most and where everyone is keen to help me and make sure I feel comfortable. We need more places like this!

A cosy green practice
My daughter had an appointment with Mr Konrad – a very nice way with children, he quickly built a rapport with her. He thoroughly examined what was causing her open-mouth problem, recommended suitable exercises to do at home and follow-up appointments every so often to monitor how her muscles are working with the orthodontic brace.
An added bonus is the convenient location – close to public transport, with a large car park on Wolska Street.

Highly recommended! As soon as you walk in, you can see that the practice is attractive and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes you feel at ease. The urogynaecological physiotherapy was carried out professionally and with great attentiveness. Ms Weronika is exceptionally competent – it's immediately clear that she has extensive knowledge and experience. The appointment took place in a relaxed atmosphere and I felt completely looked after. I will certainly be back, both to continue the therapy and for other treatments.
